This is Eleanor, one of our two new volunteers who will be starting with Hollywell this week. Eleanor and Laura will be helping to carry out our Tenancy Clinics and Welfare Checks on some of our vulnerable tenants. Volunteers are vital to our work, allowing our tenants to build a good relationship with the people who are visiting their home and being able to share their thoughts and concerns about their home environment. Eleanor and Laura will be working with tenants in Cullompton and Plymouth.

August 18th 2015 - Hollywell have secured a grant from the Big Lottery to carry out a feasibility study into the housing and support needs and wants of vulnerable client groups in the Exeter area. 'What Makes a Home?' is a project designed to be fully interative with a variety of groups including people with a learning disability, mental health issue, homeless and substance misusers, as well as stakeholder groups such as local authorities, support providers and families. The aim is to identify what vulnerable people want in a home in order to make it sustainable, safe and a stepping stone to future opportunity. The project will start early in 2016 and we would welcome input into the design - please do email us on This email address is being protected from spambots.
