Glitz and glamour were the order of the day at the Hollywell Housing Trust Christmas Charity Ball on 8th December 2017 at the spectacular venue of Rockbeare Manor near Exeter.

Local business people, care providers, trustees and tenants all attended the black tie event, celebrating Hollywell's third birthday and providing some Christmas cheer to all those who attended! Hosted by Katie Sherjan, Hollywell's CEO, the event was a fundraiser to help the charity in their work supporting people with learning disabilities and autism across Devon and Cornwall. The event was sponsored by Griffin Chartered Accountants and the 373 Business Networking Group.

After a champagne reception, guests heard speeches from Katie and David Willoughby, tenant of Hollywell who wanted to tell the story of his move to Falmouth with the help of the charity in June 2017.

Guests then enjoyed a three course meal before Simon Bowkett, Hollywell trustee and CEO of CoLab in Exeter acted as auctioneer for the Lots which were very generously donated by local businesses, including a 2 night stay in St Annes Cottage B&B in Dunmere, Cornwall Culture Package (consisting of tickets to the Minack Theatre, Eden Project and Tate St Ives) theatre tickets from The Bike Shed Theatre Company and a children's name painting donated by ALphabet Zoo Creations. The auction raied a fantastic £1016.50!

After the auction the Gershwin Gang played jazz and swing music until carriages arrived at 12.30am, getting everyone on their feet for a dance!
