Who We Are

Hollywell Housing Trust is an award winning charity set up in 2014 to provide housing and housing related support to people with learning disabilities, autism and brain injuries across the whole of Devon and Cornwall.

We are a person centred, ambitious charity, working to improve the lives of vulnerable people by providing one of the cornerstones in life – a safe, secure and sustainable home. We empower people to make their own choices and decisions with regards to their housing and then provide them with the support to make these a reality.

Hollywell does not provide personal care, but rather we source accommodation and provide the housing related support vulnerable people need to live independently – we work closely with the individual’s care provider to ensure that they receive an all-round, holistic support service to allow them to live independently within the community.

Development Manager – Full Time

The Development Manager is a brand-new position for Hollywell as we enter a phase of significant growth and expansion after restructuring the team. We require someone to promote the business and generate referrals, build partnerships with stakeholders (including but not limited to CCGs, families, housing benefit departments and social care) and help to develop innovative and creative ways to help house and support the most vulnerable people in society, exploring the viability of expanding geographically from our key areas of Devon and Cornwall and looking at client groups outside of our core market place of learning disability and autism. This role will be a part of our SLT team, helping to support and shape the charity as we grow.

This role will be home based and require significant travel, predominantly around Devon and Cornwall but also across the South Coast as we expand. There may also be training or meetings outside of this geography at times.

The developing marketplace, challenges to the sector and increasing numbers of vulnerable people needing housing and support means that we require someone flexible, dynamic and passionate about the sector. You will be someone who is articulate and tenacious in your approach, able to promote our work and recognise the importance of developing relationships within the social care sector and beyond. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week, however it is not a 9-5 type role, you will be flexible in your approach and recognise that the sector and the needs of vulnerable people don’t always fit into ‘boxes’ and may require work outside of these hours – the role also requires you being a part of the out of hours Housing Support Service on a bi-weekly rota system.

A background in development, particularly within a growing charity or voluntary sector role, is highly desirable, as is a knowledge of social care and challenges facing the sector. Housing experience is not essential for this role but it would be advantageous. We are passionate about professional development and growth of our team, so a willingness to learn and develop your professional skills and knowledge is highly desirable.

This is a very exciting role for the right person, one which someone can shape and grow themselves into a key part of the business going forward. We are very proud of our strong, passionate team and we are looking for someone with a similar ethos and commitment.

You will work under the CEO and work closely with them and the board in developing the strategy and ensuring that the business is running effectively and growing sustainably. This role will line manage the Development Officer initially, with the potential to line manage more people as the business grows.

As Hollywell grows, tasks and responsibilities may increase and diversify.

The role is full time at 37.5 hours a week with a salary of £35,200 per annum.
You will get up to 37 days paid holiday and enrolment into our pension scheme.
