We have two exciting posts available for volunteers who really want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people across Devon.
Support & Welfare Officers (between 2 and 5 hours a week) – Volunteer post – PLYMOUTH
We are looking for a compassionate and relaible individual (or individuals) to commit to spending an hour a week with one of more of our vulnerable tenants in Plymouth. The role involves visiting an individual in their home once a week, spending time with them and making sure that they are looking after their home as well as ensuring that they are thriving and happy in their home. Typically a visit lasts around 45 minutes to an hour each week and involves having a chat and spending time making sure that all is well with them. This is not a care provider role, Hollywell provides housing related support, however our service is also about people’s welfare and making sure that their home is right for them and these visits are vital for this reason. Please see the ROLE PROFILE for more information.
No experience needed, just a kind and compassionate nature. Full training will be given and all our volunteers are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
