KATIE SHERJAN - Chief Executive Officer

Katie set up Hollywell Housing Trust in November 2014. She has a 20 years background in private sector lettings, social housing and aupported living and is passionate about addressing the inequality of access to the private rented sector facing vulnerable adults in Devon and Cornwall. Katie is ARLA qualified, has a degree in Housing Practice (Supported Living) and a Level 4 Diploma in Autism awareness, as well as having several years experience in working with people with autism and learning disabilities.

DEBBIE BIRD - Housing & Welfare Manager

img 5188 002 Debbie joined the team in April 2019 and comes to us with a wealth of experience in social care, housing and local authority commissioning. Debbie has worked in Adult Social Care Commissioning and the Business Relations Team at Devon County Council, developing support living and other accommodation options for people with learning disabilities and mental health issues across Devon. She joins Hollywell in a business development as well as operation role, helping to support the organisation with our growth plans and expansion of the coming years.

EMMA GREELEY - Housing & Welfare Officer (Plymouth, South Hams, Torbay & Teignbridge)

Emma joined Hollywell in June 2016 and since this time has been an integral part of growing the charity. Emma currently looks after our tenants in Plymouth, South Hams and Teignbridge and spends her time visiting the residents and ensuring their they are happy as well as making sure that they are managing their tenancies efficiently. 

Emma is very passionate about mental health and wellbeing, having a background in community mental health and psychiatry as well as being a qualified BACP counsellor. Emma says: "at Hollywell I am able to use my skills, background and knowledge to engage with our tenants and encourage independence. I really enjoy supporting tenants with their individual wellbeing and helping them to achieve their short and long term goals."

ANNE-MARIE POLLEY - Housing & Welfare Officer (Plymouth)

Anne-Marie started with Hollywell in December 2018 and was recruited to manage the ever growing tenant numbers in the Plymouth area. Anne-Marie has a strong background in charity and voluntary sector work with vulnerable adults, including having worked for the CAB, Scope and MIND.

She has worked as an advocate and a Shared Lives carer and is passionate about a person centred approach to working with vulnerable people, as well as enabling people to have impartial, free and acurate advice to help them improve their lives. Her training and experience working with very vulnerable people make her a valuable asset to the Hollywell team and a great source of information and support for our tenants.

LEIGH HORNE - Housing & Welfare Officer (Exeter, Mid & East Devon)

leighLeigh joined us at Hollywell in July 2019, having spent several years working with young care leavers in a supported living environment. Leigh has significant experience in working with various stakeholders and supporting young people into education and employment when they reached adulthood - Leigh believes that there is still a stigma attached to housing for vulnerable people and that everyone deserves a roof over their head and support to maintain a tenancy. She believes that having your own home can be life changing.

Leigh will be working with tenants in the Exeter, Mid and East Devon locality.

KERRY LEWIS - Housing & Welfare Officer (Plymouth)

Kerry joined us as a Housing & Welfare Officer in September 2019, helping us to support the team in the Plymouth area. Kerry has a strong background in teaching and education at a senior level, having worked at a number of educational establishments in Plymouth over the last 15 years. Most recently Kerry has worked at a leading young person's charity in Devon, helping to support young people into independence and helping them to thrive and stay safe. Kerry's experience means that she has the communication skills and empathy to be able to support our tenants and her unique experience with young people is a valuable asset to Hollywell in working with our increasing number of care leavers in the Plymouth area.

TANYA FALASCHI - Housing & Welfare Officer (Mid & North Cornwall)

Tanya joined Hollywell in May 2019 as our Housing & Welfare Officer for central and North Cornwall. Tanya comes from a background of support and housing, having worked at a housing association in Plymouth in their sheltered housing schemes and most recently as a support worker in the community for people with dementia in Cornwall. Tanya has a strong passion for person centred support and empowering people to live independently.

CAROLINE LAW - Housing & Welfare Officer (West Cornwall)

Caroline joined us in September 2019 as our new Housing & Welfare Officer for West Cornwall. Caroline brings with her a wealth of experience in housing, having worked for Cornwall council as well as two large housing associations in Cornwall in providing housing and related support to adults with additional support needs. Her strong background in housing and support, as well as her knowledge of the diverse geography of Cornwall means that she is ideally suited to the role within Hollywell.

CLARE PENNELL - Referrals Manager

Clare also joined us in September 2017 with a strong residential lettings background, meaning that she is ideal for the post of Operations Manager. Clare is the first point of contact for new referrals and supports people in the intial steps of Hollywell finding them new accommodation. She coordinates new referrals and liaising with letting agents and landlord to secure a home for our vulnerable tenants, before completing the new tenancy paperwork and seeing the individual through to moving in.

DEBBIE TRETHEWEY - Compliance Officer

Debbie joined the Hollywell team in October 2018. Her role is to ensure that all of our properties are compliant and meeting legal safety standards.

Debbie is also in charge of overseeing our administration and ensuring that everything in the office is running smoothly!

INDY - The Hollywell Hound 

 Indy is a Cocker Spaniel and he is based in our offices in Exeter, although he often travels with Katie around Devon and Cornwall. He is responsible for ensuring that any visitors get a warm welcome, however training in tea and coffee making has proved a challenge. He will happily bring you a tennis ball though....
