Hollywell Shortlisted for Express & Echo ‘Charity Champion’!

We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for the Express & Echo Charity Champion award at their annual Community Awards this month.

Hollywell was set up with a passion to provide equality of access to safe housing for vulnerable people in Devon and Cornwall, working on the strong belief that EVERYONE should be entitled to a sustainable home, regardless of disability. We are very proud to have our work recognised in this way, we work very hard to provide an excellent service for our vulnerable tenants and our stakeholders – our successes to date prove the need for the bespoke, person centred approach to housing that Hollywell provides.

Are You Looking for a New Volunteering Challenge?

We have two exciting posts available for volunteers who really want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people across Devon.

Support & Welfare Officers (between 2 and 5 hours a week) – Volunteer post – PLYMOUTH

We are looking for a compassionate and relaible individual (or individuals) to commit to spending an hour a week with one of more of our vulnerable tenants in Plymouth. The role involves visiting an individual in their home once a week, spending time with them and making sure that they are looking after their home as well as ensuring that they are thriving and happy in their home. Typically a visit lasts around 45 minutes to an hour each week and involves having a chat and spending time making sure that all is well with them. This is not a care provider role, Hollywell provides housing related support, however our service is also about people’s welfare and making sure that their home is right for them and these visits are vital for this reason. Please see the ROLE PROFILE for more information.

No experience needed, just a kind and compassionate nature. Full training will be given and all our volunteers are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Please contact katie.sherjan@hollywellhousingtrust.org.uk or call 07989 518142 for further information.

Administrator (approx. 2 hours per week) – Volunteer Post – EXETER

We are looking for a reliable, methodical and organised person to support us with our adminstration in our Exeter office. Ideally for 2 hours a week (days/times flexible) and will involve managing our referral paperwork (including chasing missing forms), general filing and scanning.

You will be dealing with confidential tenant information and therefore will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Please contact katie.sherjan@hollywellhousingtrust.org.uk or 07989 518142 for further information.
